PASTOR MIKE was born, at an early age, to his parents Pastor Mike Sr. and Judi.

 

Being a PK (preachers Kid) meant moving around a bit.  He grew up in Spokane, Bremerton, Port Orchard and Puyallup Washington as well as St. Petersburg Florida ? where he first received a call to preach. 

 

After high school he attended Olivet Nazarene University (Kankakee, Il) to study religion before finishing with a major in Economics and Philosophy.

 

After college he worked for the U.S. Congress before moving on to start various businesses, ranging from a 56,000 square foot health club to a small financial services company.  Pastor Mike also spent 5 years working in the independent film and entertainment community before God brought him to the point that he was willing to pick up his cross, enter full time ministry and follow Christ. 

 

Before joining Marysville church of the Nazarene, Pastor Mike worked with his dad at Edify Ministries, doing interim ministry and charitable development.

 

Pastor Mike is married to another pk, Jennifer Grimshaw, a woman whose beauty, class and support takes his breath away on a daily basis.  When Pastor Mike told his boss (Lead Pastor Craig Laughlin) that he got engaged to Jennifer, Pastor Craigs response was "Wow, you're lucky and she's blind!" 

And that is so true!

 

He's also lucky...and blessed...and so happy to be able to serve God by being the Pastor to such an incredible group of teens and young adults!!!
